The Texas Institution is Open April 4–May 25, 2026 For 45 years, Scarborough Renaissance Festival® has been a Texas favorite. Every spring, families, friends, and newcomers gather to enjoy a taste of the 16th century. In 2026, the Festival marks its 45th season with eight weekends packed with entertainment, legendary performances, and new things to discover. The Festival runs every Saturday and Sunday from April 4 to May 24, with a special Memorial Day celebration on Monday, May 25. On these weekends, a 25-acre English village comes to life in Waxahachie, drawing visitors from across Texas and beyond. Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. each open day. Scarborough started in 1981 as a small gathering. Now, it’s one of the biggest and best-known Renaissance festivals in the country. For many Texans, Scarborough is more than just a yearly event. Scarborough Renaissance Festival ® (Scarborough Faire®) opens its 44th season on Saturday, April 5 and Sunday, April 6, 2025, with Kids Free Weekend presented by Whataburger! Up to (3) Kids 12 & under get in free with each paid adult – no child ticket is required. Kids 4 & under are always free. Plus, the first 1,000 kids get a free crown compliments of Whataburger.
