From The Farmer’s Market in downtown Dallas to the Shops at Clearfork in Fort Worth, the Dallas-Fort Worth area is filled with pumpkin patches, hay mazes, and other autumn events that offer you lots of opportunities for great photos of family and friends. Here are just a few of our favorites:Â
Autumn at the ArboretumÂ
This annual event at the Dallas Arboretum is filled with 100,000 pumpkins, gourds, and squash. This year’s theme, A Fall Fairy Tale, features the return of Cinderella’s Carriage, along with themed pumpkin houses that make up the acclaimed Pumpkin Village and, of course, a maze for the kids.
Other gourd-eous‘ displays reimagine classic tales of Jack & The Beanstalk, The Three Little Pigs, The Sword in the Stone, and One Thousand and One Nights.

Fort Worth Pumpkin Patch
The Lone Star Adventures brings the farm to Fort Worth! Visit the Fort Worth Pumpkin Patch at the Shops at Clearfork and make some memories. Open now through October 31st, Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. With all the pumpkins, fall décor, and a play area, this is a great place to take family photos.

Pumpkin Patch at the Dallas Farmers Market
Visit the Shed at the Dallas Farmers Market to shop for pumpkins and enjoy live music and kid’s crafts. With over 25 pumpkin varieties, you can take your pick of pumpkins for use in your favorite recipe or as part of your seasonal and Halloween home decor. The patch is open every day inside The Shed. Now through October 31ST:

Pumpkin Nights
Walk along a half-mile path at Pumpkin Nights in Arlington with your family and friends. You will discover the Forbidden City, a Pirate’s Cove, and more fantastical lands built using over 5,000 hand-carved real and artificial pumpkins. This seasonal event offers live entertainment and games for the whole family.
- Real-life fire dancers. Live pumpkin carving by professional artists.
- Snack on a variety of options from local food vendors.
- Warm up with a mug of hot cocoa or an adult beverage. Then top it all off with a slice of pumpkin pie.

Ennis Autumn Daze
This family-friendly autumn festival will take place in historic downtown Ennis this October 28 – 30. The annual event features live music, including Pat Green and Gary P. Nunn, carnival rides, a hay maze, a pumpkin patch, a cornhole tournament, professional pumpkin carvers, as well as food, shopping vendors, and more!
The admission fee for Friday, October 28 is FREE.
Saturday, October 29, admission is $5 at the gate until 4 pm for ages 13 & up; $10 at the gate after 4 pm for ages 13 & up. Kids 12 and under are free.
Sunday, October 30, admission is $5 all day for ages 13 & up. Kids 12 and under are free.
