The State Fair of Texas has New Attractions and Even More Fair Foods
The 2024 State Fair of Texas has exciting new attractions as part of this year’s free entertainment lineup. Be sure to visit these must-see additions at the State Fair, “the Most Texan Place on Earth.”

Take a look at a few of this year’s attractions:
- STARS OVER TEXAS, A FOUR-NIGHT DRONE SHOW EVENT — Thursday, October 3, to Sunday, October 6. All four nightly shows will begin immediately after the Mattress Firm Illumination Sensation at approximately 8:25 p.m. (The drone shows are produced in partnership with Coppell-based Sky Elements.)
- STEVE GOODTIME! — Performing gnarly guitar solos with wild stunts, this show will thrill every fairgoer. Guitar amp rola bola, dangerous thingy juggling, hotdog magic, and fitting into tiny leopard print pants are just a few of the unbelievable things you’ll see.
- DINO TIME WITH PROFESSOR T. TEX and his dino-wrangler at the lagoon as they bring their favorite dinosaurs through his time machine to meet fairgoers. This show is intended for children under ten years old and will give them an opportunity to meet small dinosaurs.
- STATE FAIR OF TEXAS LOTERÍA! Play this traditional Mexican board game of chance, similar to bingo, but played with a deck of cards. Every image in the game is inspired by some of the most iconic State Fair and Texas symbols.
- Cirque du Soleil: Songblazers: Cirque du Soleil and Universal Music Group Nashville present an innovative country-themed show that pays tribute to the legendary and modern trailblazers of country music. Following the journey of two characters as they forge their own path to country recognition, the Songblazers show is an unforgettable experience.
Songblazers will be presented in partnership with Broadway Dallas and the State Fair of Texas at the Music Hall at Fair Park for 33 performances only from September 25 to October 20, 2024. Songblazers tickets will also include FREE admission to the State Fair. Order your Songblazers tickets.
