EpicCentral Spring Break – Grand Prairie
March 8–27, 2026

EpicCentral’s 172-acre entertainment district welcomes approximately 150,000 visitors each March, and this year, life-sized animatronic dinosaurs take over the GrandLawn from March 8–27, bringing the Jurassic period to life with a towering T. rex, Stegosaurus, and Brachiosaurus.

New for 2026, Epic Waters admission includes free access to a live circus experience on the EpicCentral lawn, featuring aerial trapeze, a Gravity Wheel, and the Dominguez father-son duo performing inside the legendary Sonic Sphere. The free Ext-ROAR-dinary Dino Fest on Saturday, March 15 adds storytimes, fossil digging, dino arts and crafts, and live music from the Jambox stage.

Perot Museum of Nature and Science
Open Daily | 2201 N. Field Street, Dallas

The Perot Museum is one of the most reliably great family destinations in Dallas, with five floors of hands-on STEM exhibits covering everything from dinosaur fossils to energy and space exploration.

Opening March 7, the museum debuts Soccer: More Than a Game, a new exhibition that explores the science, culture, and global power of the sport, timed perfectly ahead of FIFA World Cup 2026. With 3D films, interactive kiosks, and programming for all ages, this is an easy full-day stop that works for kids and curious adults alike. Visit perotmuseum.org for tickets and hours.

Spring Break at the Carter
March 17–20, 2026 | Amon Carter Museum of American Art – Fort Worth

The Amon Carter Museum of American Art invites you to focus your lens on photography during Spring Break at the Carter. The exhibit runs March 17–20, with free activities including gallery games and creativity challenges inspired by the museum’s collection and its Black Photojournalism exhibition. The free exhibit is truly fun for kids, and it’s the kind of experience that feels educational without feeling like a field trip. RSVPs are recommended.

Fort Worth Stockyards
Year-Round

Spring break is a great excuse to make the drive to the Fort Worth Stockyards, where the spirit of the American West is alive in a way you can’t replicate anywhere else.

The Stockyards Championship Rodeo runs year-round at historic Cowtown Coliseum, featuring bull riding, bronc riding, barrel racing, and roping events in the world’s only year-round indoor rodeo. Pair the rodeo with a walk through the district, lunch at one of the restaurants, and the famous twice-daily longhorn cattle drive down Exchange Avenue. It’s a full afternoon and an easy crowd-pleaser for every age.

Klyde Warren Park
2012 Woodall Rodgers Freeway, Downtown Dallas

Sometimes the best option for a good time is also the simplest one. Klyde Warren Park sits in the heart of downtown Dallas and regularly hosts outdoor concerts, film screenings, art exhibitions, and fitness activities, all against the backdrop of the city skyline. Here are a few of the family-friendly events:

  • Family Night at Klyde Warren Park – Saturday, March 14, 2026 | 4 – 7 PM
  • Spring Break in the Park – Friday, March 13 through 22
  • Movies in the Park –

The Sheila and Jody Grant Children’s Park features a playground with a rock-climbing tower, and the Nancy Best Fountain serves as an interactive water-play area by day and a light-and-music show by night. Everything here is free, and food trucks are generally on-site.
