Whether you’re a theater regular or someone who hasn’t seen a live show since that middle school field trip, the 2026 Broadway Dallas season offers something for everyone. Pick a weeknight after work, grab a few friends, and enjoy a fun evening of dinner and theater.
Most performances run around two to three hours with an intermission. You can grab dinner beforehand at a restaurant or cafe in the Arts District or near the Fair Park area, watch the show, and still be home at a reasonable hour.
Or why not make a full night of it and visit one of Dallas’s night spots afterward for a late-night drink to discuss the show and the incredible performance you just witnessed.
Where to Dine Near Fair Park Music Hall
The Music Hall at Fair Park celebrated its 100th anniversary this year, and the Winspear Opera House provides an intimate setting that makes every seat feel special. Both locations are easily accessible from downtown Dallas and Fort Worth, with parking options that won’t leave you circling blocks or arriving stressed.
The Music Hall offers two excellent on-site options that eliminate any stress about grabbing a bite to eat before the show.
Crystal Terrace serves a pre-performance buffet with views of Fair Park’s historic grounds. Chef Trevor Tucker crafts custom menus for each show, incorporating special items that celebrate the heritage or setting of that evening’s musical alongside permanent menu favorites. Reservations are strongly recommended, as this is the only dining option within immediate walking distance of the Music Hall. The terrace opens 1.5 hours before curtain.
The Bistro, located on the second floor, offers grab-and-go options such as wraps, salads, sandwiches, soft drinks, and snacks for those who prefer lighter fare. Available before, during, and after the show.
Dining Near Winspear Opera House
The Dallas Arts District spoils you with choices, and many restaurants are within a short walk of the Winspear.
Skyline Terrace Buffet at the Winspear itself offers an elevated pre-performance dining experience. Located on the Terrrace, just steps from your seats, the buffet features mouth-watering chef stations and opens 90 minutes before showtime. Meals are $43 per person, and advance reservations are recommended.
Flora Cantina (2330 Flora Street), located right outside the Winspear, serves regional Texas and Mexican cuisine with unique street tacos, vibrant bowls, fresh salads, and savory tapas. The open kitchen and chef’s counter create an immersive dining atmosphere perfect for pre-theater meals.
Flora Street Café (2330 Flora Street, Suite 150), located in the HALL Arts complex directly across from the Meyerson Symphony Center, takes the “food as theater” concept seriously. This modern Southwestern restaurant offers meticulous attention to detail in both service and presentation, making fine dining feel like an event in itself. Open at 5:30 p.m.
Tei-An (1722 Routh Street, Suite 110), founded by Chef Teiichi Sakurai, specializes in authentic Japanese soba noodles. Critics have called it “the crown jewel of Japanese dining in Dallas,” and it’s perfect if you want something sophisticated yet different. Also opens at 5:30 p.m.
Ellie’s Restaurant & Lounge at the HALL Arts Hotel overlooks the Texas Sculpture Walk and features seasonal cocktails, an impressive wine list, and contemporary cuisine. They offer a pre-show prix fixe menu and live entertainment several days a week.
Fearing’s Restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton Dallas (2015 Woodall Rogers Freeway) brings bold Texas flavors under the guidance of renowned chef Dean Fearing. Open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, it’s ideal for pre-show dining with options ranging from the lively Rattlesnake Bar to the relaxed Live Oak patio.
For something more casual, Miriam Cocina Latina located across from Klyde Warren Park is a fresh take on Mexican food in a comfortable atmosphere where everyone feels welcome.
Concierge Suggests: Many Arts District restaurants open at 5:30 p.m., so plan accordingly if you’re attending an evening performance. For matinees, consider dining after the show when more options are available.
Whether you’re a theater regular or someone who hasn’t seen a live show since that middle school field trip, the 2026 Broadway Dallas season offers something worth experiencing. Pick a Tuesday, grab a friend, and remember what it feels like to be genuinely surprised by a live performance. Your couch will still be there when you get home.
The magic happening on these stages for a limited time.
